The Offset System
The offset system is an indirect printing method, that is, the surface to be printed does not have contact with the plate. This system comes from an advanced lithography process.
It consists of applying the ink, usually oily, on a metal plate. From there it goes to a cylinder covered by a flexible material that is the one that receives the image to transfer it (by pressure) to the printed surface, generally paper.
The CMKY Cyan, Magenta, Yellow (Yellow) and Black (Black) color scale is used for printing.
With this type of printing a higher quality finish is achieved. In addition, it allows the reproduction of a high number of copies at a high speed, decreasing the price of the unit as the quantity increases.
